Lookbook: Maki-Oh Spring ’16 Collection.

Lagos-based designer and creative director for Maki-Oh, Amaka Osakwe, has never failed to wow us with the thought processes to her collections and this one is no exception. For this collection, firstly, she draws inspiration from philosophical questions of endeavour and also the Yoruba trick called “Arodan” in which parents send their bored kids to neighbor’s homes in search of Arodan, something that doesn’t exist. A search in futility.

Lookbook: Iconic Vanity Release Their “Rhythm” Collection Lookbook Featuring Tansey Coetzee-Sodeinde


Nigerian design label, Iconic Vanity have released a new lookbook collection titled “Rhythm”, which was first unveiled at the 2014 Lagos Fashion & Design Week with gorgeous embellished dresses with flattering silhouettes, tribal accents, co-ordinates and so much more.

According to Nancy Nwadire, Designer (Iconic Invanity), “Sometimes, the woman is King. Secure, powerful, bold and courageous dancing to the rhythm of her beat. For this collection I was drawn once again to the beauty and strength of the Iconic Invanity woman and her journey, dreams, culture, explorations and discoveries.
